Me After You, synopsis, writing updates

...Me After You...

I've talked a little about my standalone New Adult Contemporary Romance that will be coming out at the end of this year. Me After You. I hope ya'll are as excited about it as I am!

Here's the synopsis:

When tragedy strikes, Sawyer Hartwell has no choice but to return to her hometown, a town that holds memories she would rather forget. Broke and alone, the intention was to heal and find herself again, but how can she heal in a place filled with so much sorrow? To make matters worse, the man who used to be her world, the lying thief who stole her heart and ripped it out by leaving, is back.

Dean Preston has regretted leaving Willowhaven since the day he left six years ago, but a choice had to be made. It turns out he chose wrong and destroyed the only love he had ever known. Now he’s back, and so is Sawyer, but he’s with Lily. His thoughts are consumed with mending their broken past, but how can he possibly try to rectify his mistakes when he’s involved with Lily and Sawyer wants nothing to do with him?

In this story of loss, first loves, and self-discovery, Sawyer and Dean travel down a road filled with heartache, but possible redemption. Can their story be rewritten? After all that has transpired, is it possible to repair all the damage that has been done? Or are they destined to walk the paths of their broken lives a part?

Cue the Hallelujah Chorus

We've got a Kaleidoscope update my friends...Editing is FINISHED. I can't tell you how good that feels. I fixed my last edit, turned to my husband with raised arms in the air and he asked, "done?" I nearly cried. I did however, do a little dance while chanting, it's finished! over and over and over.

Now we get down to the final steps! With shaking hands I sent the book in to get my copyright and queried the formatting peoples. I almost felt like I couldn't do it. The voices inside my head were going at it. Can the book actually be finished? It's seriously complete? Maybe I should go over it one last time to be sure. But I know if I keep going back I'll never get it out there, so there's no turning back now. Out of the 10+ books I've started I've NEVER been able to complete a book before. And now there is an end in sight! Once the formatting peeps get back to me I can give ya'll a more concrete release date. YAY!

In case you're just getting familiar with Kaleidoscope here is the synopsis:

"Was I still a human? Gosh I still wanted to be human. Even just to keep a sliver of whom I thought I was. But as I thought about being human, standing in the shade of the forest, I felt less human than ever. The trees fought for my allegiance."

It starts in her chest. The change Calliope doesn't see coming. It pulses like a second heartbeat, urging her to give in to the need to be in the depths of the forest. She's compelled to fight the pull, but the more she denies it the stronger it becomes until she finally surrenders and is pulled into a secret world of enchantment.

Kai and Declan need her to accept what she is, but with everything left unsaid, acceptance may be the least of their worries. Knowing their fate lies in her hands, they'll stop at nothing to protect and prepare her for what lies ahead.

Will Calliope be able to accept what Kai and Declan reveal or will her desire to be normal keep her from acknowledging her true destiny?

GOSH i hate it! so let's hope we've got a WINNER.

are ya'll ready for it?

It starts in her chest. The change Calliope doesn't see coming. It pulses like a second heartbeat, urging her to give into the need to be in the depths of the forest. She's compelled to fight the pull, but the more she denies it the stronger it becomes. A whole new world awaits her when she finally succumbs to the desire. All she seeks is relief, but nothing could prepare her for what she's confronted with. Nothing could prepare her for the Keepers.

Kai and Declan need her to accept that the change is happening whether she wants it to or not.  Although she may not know it yet, their fate lies in her hands. They will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Now that she’s discovered their world there's no going back.
